2021 – 2022
ShopifyQL + PolarisViz = 👯♀️
ShopifyQL is a language that allows Shopify, its merchants, and partners to deeply understand and build key commerce concepts in data – it’s quickly becoming the industry-standard language of commerce analytics. Polaris viz is Shopify data visualization system that seamlessly works with ShopifyQL to build beautiful charts from scratch. We built both because we knew that custom data experiences can only be achieved through building the language and the design system that works seamlessly with it.
Summer 2023
Metaobjects + Storefronts = 🪄
My team designed and built metaobject templates that allow merchants to create unique pages that display custom content based on metaobject entries. These new page types make it easier for merchants to surface metaobject data on their online store, and quickly build landing pages for metaobjects, like store location pages, brand profiles, and more, that follow a consistent structure. Once these templates are set up to reference dynamic sources and metafields, merchants can add the pages to their navigation or reference them in promotions.

Custom Data + AI = ⚡️
My team improved how all products, even the most complex, are listed and discovered on Shopify with the largest update to our product model in over a decade. From a new app for merchandising products that come in multiple colors and styles, to a new product taxonomy, and more.
The new taxonomy maps each standard product category to a rich set of associated attributes, making it easier to create, classify, and organize products, and automatically generate variants. But the cherry on top is the highly accurate automated predictions, based on product title, description, and uploaded images.
